Ink Review: Diamine Scribble Purple

A dark purple ink from the standard range, Diamine Scribble Purple was chosen and named by the Fountain Pen UK community on Facebook in a survey co-ordinated by Bernard Gomes.

Scribble Purple is a very dark almost black Imperial purple type shade with a heavy gold sheen. It was quite wet while writing, and felt smooth and lubricated on my Xerox ColourPrint laser 100gsm paper. When writing with broader wetter nibs, it is very dark indeed.

Scribble Purple is a very saturated ink and can show through on some cheaper papers.

The gold sheen is more noticeable when writing on smooth papers with pens that have broader, wetter nibs.
