Ink review: Sailor Shikiori Shigure

Today’s ink review is Sailor Shikiori Shigure ink. Shigure is a very dark purple, almost black ink. As a purple it leans more blue than red and it is a well saturated ink. If you leave your pen filled with Shigure for any length of time it will begin to look even darker. Continue reading “Ink review: Sailor Shikiori Shigure”

Ink Review: Sailor Shikiori Yonaga

Today I’m reviewing Sailor Shikiori Yonaga ink. It’s a dark blue ink that leans very slightly towards green. I found it quite wet with good flow. Lubrication on the nib was smooth across the paper with hardly any feedback from the Lamy steel nibs. Continue reading “Ink Review: Sailor Shikiori Yonaga”

Ink Review: Pilot Iroshizuku syo-ro (Dew on a Pine Tree)

Today I’m reviewing Pilot Iroshizuku syo-ro ink.

Syo-ro translates from Japanese to “Dew on a Pine Tree” and it is a slightly blue leaning teal that is similar to the colour of a Pine tree. In the right pen with the right paper it can look more blue with a red sheen. You can see signs of some sheen when I wrote with the TWSBI Eco 1.1mm pen.
